NUT 406 | Required

 This course deals with the application of nutrition to clinical problems. Such as metabolic response to Injury, Nutritional Requirements in Diarrhea, Measles and other Febrile Illnesses; relationship between Maternal Diet and Outcome of Pregnancy; Concept of Children at risk (low-birth weight, twins) Nutritional problem, Nutrition in Obesity, Coronary and Ischemic Heart Disease, Diabetes, Neurological Disorders. Nutrition and HIV/AIDS. Nutrition in the aged; Nutritional Assessment and Support of Hospitalized Patients; Adverse reaction to Food/Allergy; cancers and osteoporosis; Enteral and parenteral feeding. Practicum: Students are expected to attend Nutrition clinic
