The aim of this course is to introduce and get students to be familiar with the global and national issues relating to Nutrition especially in relation to population dynamics, globalization, world trade and economies, trade and investment, humanitarian situation and emergency-refugee programmes Students will also be introduced to international declarations, treaties, goals, targets and interventions that are directly related to nutrition. They will also be made to know the global, regional, and national bodies, networks, movement, associations, development partners associated with and supporting nutrition (e.g. FAO, WHO, WFP, UNICEF,SCI, HKI, AAH, A4NH, AGSNet, ANLP, IUNS, FANUS, NSN, CS-SUNN, etc.) . Politics in the Global and National Nutrition Landscape will also be explored in this course.
