(a). Describe the pathological basis, aetiology and clinical features of common orthopaedic conditions.

(b). Describe assessment procedures for common orthopaedic conditions seen in physiotherapy.

•COURSE CONTENT:
Joint disorders – osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, gout, temporomandibular joint disorders, haemophilic arthritis.
•Spinal disorders – neck pain, back pain, sacroiliac joint pain, cervical and lumbar spondylosis (intervertebral disc lesions), spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, ankylosing spondylitis.
•Infectious conditions – Septic arthritis, tuberculous arthritis, osteomyelitis.
•Bone disorders – osteoporosis, osteomalacia, Paget’s disease etc.
•Musculoskeletal deformities – Scoliosis, kyphosis, kyphoscoliosis
